Many of our financings extend across multiple national borders, and we are experienced in solving the complex issues that arise in multinational situations and in making sure that cross-border transactions benefit from the latest developments in the Brazilian financing market. Our team has advised on the matters involving Brazil or Brazilian assets on many cross-border financing transactions originated and marketed in New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, among others.
Our team has extensive experience in structuring capital markets transactions in the Brazilian capital markets and in preparing the transactional documents of Brazilian issuers in the international capital markets.
In the last few years, the founding partners have provided legal advice to publicly-held companies, investment banks, shareholders, and other market players in some of the most sophisticated and innovative equity and debt transactions. Our Capital Markets Practice includes representation in public and private offerings of securities, as well as renegotiations of debt securities in the context of structured transactions.
DERIVATIVES
Nantes Mello Advogados advises corporate and financial institution clients on the full range of legal issues that arise in connection with structuring, offering, and trading derivatives and commodities. CORPORATE RESTRUCTURING
Nantes Mello has extensive experience advising debtors and banks, hedge funds, private equity firms, special situations investors, and other creditors and acquirors in local and multijurisdictional bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings. In addition, our team regularly handles complicated acquisitions and/or divestitures of businesses and assets in financial distress or bankruptcy, out-of-court restructurings of distressed borrowers, and other major transactions involving significant debtor/creditor issues.
